Professional Delivery Driver
Osco Oil, a third generation fuel delivery company, has openings for a Local Professional Delivery Driver. Our drivers are top earners in the industry averaging over $80,000 per year plus an Excellent Benefit Package. We dispatch out of two locations: Lemont, IL and Mt. Prospect, IL. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of fuel (diesel and gasoline) to the customers’ equipment and tanks. OSCO IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER EEO/M/F/VET/DISABILITY
Position Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: Minimum three years Commercial Driving experience.
Special Training: Hazardous Material Training.
Required Licensing: CDL Class A or B with X and T endorsement
Physical Demands: Sitting for prolonged periods of time. Bending, lifting, and climbing. Requires ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
Hours: Position requires ten or more hours per day and includes night and weekend work.
Duties & Tasks:
- Perform daily safety checks on assigned vehicle and complete Vehicle Inspection Report.
- Insure vehicle is loaded per assigned route delivery requirements and loading card.
- Fulfill orders as instructed on mobile devices and/or verbal instructions by the dispatcher.
- Insure proper fuel is dispensed in a manner that prevents spills, overfills, and mixed fuels.
- Obtain customer signature upon completion of delivery.
- Notify dispatch of any change to delivery instructions or short fills.
- Notify dispatch of inability to meet time scheduled for stop due to add-on orders, traffic conditions, weather conditions or other circumstance.
- Notify dispatch of any dissatisfied customer.
- Report to dispatch inefficient delivery schedule (i.e. too often, or too infrequent).
Standards of Performance:
- Attendance and on time performance
- Safe and responsible operation of vehicle
- Completion of all required data capture in an accurate manner
- Ability to complete daily route in a time efficient manner
- Good customer relations
